Kimberly
Kimberly moved to the Bay Area five years ago from Chicago . Being born and raised in the Chicago suburbs left her with a BIG need to see the rest of the States. A great job with Clorox moved her out here and she has not looked back! She lives by the motto……work hard, play harder!
Kimberly began riding in 2004. She was "conned" into her first triathlon by a boss at work and fell in love with the biking portion. She bought her first road bike soon thereafter and loved going on long rides throughout the Bay Area to explore and spend time with friends. She was your stereotypical beginner; learning clip less pedals with many humorous stories and the scars to prove it. But those funny stories made it all worth it in the end as biking became a passion.
She also appreciates the beautiful (and steep) terrain of the Bay Area, making for great stories to her Midwest buds. Her favorite rides are not competitive, just leisurely long rides with friends and an occasional brunch stop. :) Favorite ride to date….the MS150 Waves to Wine…..riding from Napa to Calistoga and on to Petaluma . A great way to see all of Wine Country and everything in between.
imberly is also known as being a San Francisco social coordinator. She loves city events…..concerts, dining out, and fundraisers. But most importantly she has a passion to find a cure for breast cancer. Kimberly sits on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Komen for the Cure and was the 2007 Race Chair for the San Francisco Race for the Cure last September. Luna Chix is a great way to tie two of her passions, riding and breast cancer awareness. She looks forward to raising awareness about breast cancer while spreading love with Luna Bars!
