Emily J’s love of bicycling began on a week-long bike tour of the Oregon coast while in high school in Seattle, WA. Since then she has enjoyed cruising across Orcas Island in the San Juans while working as a camp counselor, commuting by bike to jobs in Downtown Seattle during summer vacations from college, racing in triathlons and road races for UC-Berkeley, and riding about town in Oakland.
When she’s not on a bike, Emily puts her new dual masters degree in City Planning and Civil Engineering to work as a transportation planner/engineer at Fehr and Peers in Walnut Creek, cooks up vegan delights in the kitchen, and roots for the A’s. She is excited to be part of the Luna Chix road cycling team and looking forward to improving her own riding and encouraging more women to get out on a bicycle!
