Denise Y
Denise Y. used to jump on her ten-speed for a ten-mile ride to relieve stress in high school. After about a 15-year break, she bought an inexpensive hybrid and rode the bike paths in Co Co County , and eventually used it in a mini-triathlon. When she met her husband to be, she had to buy a road bike or the relationship would end. After a few dates, she knew it was love when he bought her a Specialized Dolce Elite. But their love was shortlived when on their first biking date, he took her up Deerhill, Upper Happy Valley, Mama and Baby Bear, Pig Farm, and Reliez Valley. She cursed him profusely, but made it up all but two of the passes on her first road ride. And of course, she became addicted and married him. Today, Denise and her husband Rob spend most of their leisure time cycling, mountain biking, and training for triathlons. Denise loves being a Lunachix Ambassador because she knows what it feels like to be challenged on the bicycle and how good it feels to meet that challenge. Lunachix is also fabulous because women understand women and it's so much easier to learn from and communicate with them. Get Out and Ride!
